Supplies needed:
- Lion Brand Vanda’s choice in 3 colors: Scarlet, Olive, Fern
- Crochet hook H 5 mm
- Yarn needle
- 15” Styrofoam wreath form
- Ribbon, wide, wired (gold color)
Gauge: Not important for this project
Abbreviations and stitches used:
- Ch—chain
- Dc—double crochet
- Hdc—half double crochet
- Picot—ch 3, sl st into 3rd ch from hook
- Sc—single crochet
- Sl st—slip stitch
- Tr—treble

To make 1 poinsettia you need:
4 small leaves in Scarlet
4 medium leaves in Olive (make some flowers with medium size leaves in Scarlet)
6 large leaves in Fern
Small Leaf Pattern:
Ch 7
Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, sc in next 2 ch, sl st in last ch
Make picot
Work on the opposite side of ch, starting from stitch that you’ve made last sl st into:
Sl st, sc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, ch 2, sl st into the same st as last hdc was made into.
Medium Leaf Pattern:
Ch 10
Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 3 ch, hdc in next 2 ch, sc in next 2 ch
Make picot
Work on the opposite side of ch, starting from stitch that you’ve made last sc into:
Sc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, dc in next 3 sts, hdc in next st, ch 2, sl st into the same st as last hdc was made into.
Large Leaf Pattern:
Ch 15
Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next st, dc in next 2 ch, tr in next 3 sts, dc in next 3 sts, hdc in next ch, sc in next 2 ch
Make picot
Work on the opposite side of ch, starting from stitch that you’ve made last sc into:
Sc in next 2 sts, hdc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, tr in next 3 sts, dc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, ch 2, sl st into the same st as last hdc was made into.
- Sew leaves together using yarn needle and yarn. Weave in ends.
- Make 6 poinsettias, or any other amount to be sufficient for the size of your wreath.

That is true! If you have some leftover yarn, all you are buying is wreath form and ribbon.
